SUMMARY:Thornhill Cruisers Car Club Lake Simcoe Cruise
DESCRIPTION:Our next cruise will be along the south shore of Lake Simcoe\, and we are scheduling it for Sunday\, July 11th.  We will be assembling at 33 Arran Crescent at 9:30 a.m. and departing at 10:00 a.m. to Steeles Ave. East then Hwy. #404 north.  We will pick up Hwy. #48 along the way and follow to Sibbald Point Provincial Park where we will exit and pick up the beginning of the Hedge Road (Lake Shore).  This will take us to Jackson’s Point where we will stop off at the Ramada Jackson’s Point Resort for lunch.  Our cruise will then continue at a leisurely pace along the Lake Shore (30km/hr.) where we will pass through Willow Beach\, Island Grove and Roches Point (to name a few) all the way to Keswick where the cruise will end.  You can pick up Woodbine Ave. from Keswick or continue through it to Leslie Street and follow that home.  Should be a fun time along a scenic route.  Hope to see you all there. \n  \nI would also like to mention that our associate club\, The Markham-Stouffville Cruisers will be doing a Drive-By Cruise for Markhaven Home for Seniors on Saturday\, July 10th at 9:30 a.m. Meeting point – Grace Church\, 19 Parkway Avenue\, Markham. DESCRIPTION:The weather forecast looks good so the cruise through Caledon is now ON!  Most of us will be meeting at David Helman’s house at 33 Arran Crescent (Steeles & Bayview area) and we hope to leave there around 10:00 a.m. on Thursday\, July 30th.  We will be taking Steeles Ave. W. to Jane St. north to Hwy. #7 then west to Hwy. #400.  We will follow Hwy. #400 to Hwy. #89 and then west through Cookstown and Alliston to Superburgers restaurant at Hwy. #10 where we will be meeting some of the others.  If you can’t make it to David’s house\, then meet us at Superburgers by noon.

DESCRIPTION:This event has been CANCELLED due to inclement weather forecast.  Tentative rain date will be for Thursday\, July 30\, 2020.  We will confirm this date next week. \nWe were notified that not all people who would like to come have a 407 ETR transponder\, and some live north of Toronto\, so we decided to reverse the route.  Some of us will meet at David Helman’s house at 33 Arran Crescent (Bayview & Steeles) around 10:00 a.m. and go from there to Hwy. #400 to Hwy #89 west to Hwy#10 where we will meet up with the others at Superburgers around noon time.  From there we will travel east to Airport Road where we will go south to Hockley Valley Road and then to Hwy. #10 south to Escarpment Road.  This is where magnetic hill is located (or you can call it Devil’s Pulpit tractor beam if you like). From here we will go to the Forks of the Credit\, then to Belfountain and then drive by the Badlands on Old Baseline Road.
